Using the Pocket GPS World
Safety Camera Database With GPSAssist.NET
To install the Pocket GPS World Safety Camera
Database with GPSAssis.NET follow these simple
instructions.
Step 1 - Internet Connection
Make sure your PPC is cradled or at least has
an internet connection (over Wifi or GPRS).
Step 2 - Start POIAssist
Start POIAssist by clicking on the POIAssist
icon in Start/Program
Step 3 - Download Site Index
The first time you start POIAssist you will be
asked to download the POI Site Index. Click OK.
After a while the POI Site Index of Pocket GPS
World will be available on your pocket pc.
You only need to do this once.
Step 4 - Add to Favorites
Click on the POI Tab and locate POCKETGPS_UK_SC
which actually is the safety camera database
You can immedately click on the green down
arrow to download the database (including
BMP file). If you do that you've already finished
and the database is ready for use by the GPSAssist
POI Detector.
Better is to add the database to your favorites
list.
Click on the green + sign.
Step 5 - Download the database
Click on the Favorites tab. You will see that
the POCKETGPS_UK_SC database has been added to
your favorites list.
Option 1: Select POCKETGPS_UK_SC and click
the green downarrow to install the database
Option 2: Select Favorites/Download Expired
Favorites
Step 6 - Done
The safety camera database is now ready for use.
Do not forget to activate it in the POI Detector
Settings in GPSAssist.
