Auto
Responders
Auto
Responders are PSARs most important feature. You
can define as many auto responders as you want.
Each of these auto responders can be triggered
depending on certain keywords (with wildcard support)
in various regions of the received email but you
can also use advanced formulas where you can decide
to act on a message depending on more complex
criteria. These advanced formulas support VBScript.
An
auto responder or filter as called in PSAR can
do more than just reply to an incoming email.
It can also ...
- Extract information
out of the email and store this information
in contact databases which can then be used
to send mailings and more.
- Forward email
to a mailing list, single email addresses, recipients
stored in a contact database, recipients stored
in a csv file.
- Subscribe
and/or unsubscribe people to plain mailing
lists
- Launch external
programs and use their output in your reply
- Automatically
print the incoming email
- Play a
sound
- Send an MSN
Messenger message
Personalization
All auto responders and
group mailings in PSAR are completely personalized.
Instead of opening your
email with a plain 'Hello', PSAR will personalize
the email (when you want it of course) with for
example 'Hello John'
Personalized
Group mailings with Follow-up
Create of as many
group mailings as you want with as many follow-up
letters as you want.
PSAR will personalize
each outgoing email of the group mailing (mail
merging) with data out of your contact databases.
Automatically send
out a series of different emails on predefined
intervals using the advanced scheduler.
Follow-up letters
are sent based on the time that a user subscribes.
For example: you can send a first followup letter
one day after a user subscribed and a second one
5 days later. You can add as many followup letters
as needed at all different intervals.
Contact
Databases
In PSAR you can setup
as many contact databases as you need. Each of
these contact databases can hold as many user
defined fields as needed.
Contact databases can
be populated ...
- Automatically using extracted data
out of incoming emails.
- Manually by entering the data yourself
- By importing data out of other system
using CSV files
- By copying data straight from other
external databases like MSAccess, MySql,
Oracle
Contact databases or form handler databases as
they are called in PSAR can then used to send
mailings but also to hold dynamic information
(e.g. userid/password combinations for your eBooks)
Advanced
data parsing using form handlers
PSAR offers advanced features to extract data
out of an email and store these details
in a contact database (form handler database).
PSAR has no problem to find data located anywhere
in the email and extract it. Several options are
available to you to do this.
Several post processing options allow you to
for instance get to the First Name or Last
name of a persons name, find and replace certain
characters and more.
This function is mostly used to extract data
out of payment confirmation messages (e.g. PayPal,
eBay) but is also used to accept subscription
messages and more.
Create as many form
handlers as you need and use these to perform
mail merged mailings. Export to other database
applications, excel, word and others... Parse
XML, HTML and more into your databases.
Double
Opt-in systems
With PSAR you can easily
create double opt-in systems. Although this method
is primarily used to create double opt-in systems
there is nothing holding you to use it for other
purposes. You retain full freedom to configure
your double opt-in system any way you want. You
could even create a triple opt-in system etc.
HTML
capabilities
PSAR allows the
user to send automated replies using HTML formatted
messages and also to send group mailings in the
HTML format without leaving PSAR using the built
in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) HTML
editor.
You don't need HTML
knowledge at all.
Query
based mailings
Send out mailings based on a selection of records
out of a contact database.
PSAR allows you to define queries to send the
mailing to a selection of users in your contact
database (e.g. only to aol users or subscribers
before a certain date and more)
Advanced
Scheduler
Using the advanced
scheduler you can schedule your mailings and newsletters
to go out whenever you want. This includes scheduling
options for the follow up mailing threads.
You can do more
than only schedule mailings like ...
- Running external
applications
- Database backups
- Stopping PSAR
- Downloading web
pages
- Running database
synchronization jobs
- Running PSAR
Scripts
Plug-in support
Plug-ins
allow anyone to even further increase the possibilities
of PSAR and share these plug-ins with the rest
of the PSAR users. An SDK
is available.
Scripting
Write your own scripts
all within PSAR to provide dynamic email content
based on your databases and more.
PSAR Scripting is
based on ASP / VBScript.
Advanced
Database support
PSAR can connect
to any database which you have on your system
and copy its data into contact databases.
External data can
be an excel sheet, an MS Access database, a dBase
file, mySql, Oracle, MS Sql and more.
Run advanced queries
based on data received in your emails and produce
dynamic contents.
Dial-up
Support
You can use PSAR
in automatic mode using your normal dial-up connection.
You no longer need full-time access to the internet.
PSAR will automatically connect, retrieve your
mail, reply to it and disconnect at predefined
intervals.
Attachments
The possibility
to use as many attachments as you want in the
group mailings, follow-up letters and replies.
Foreign
Character Support
PSAR supports receiving
and sending mail with foreign characters. An often
disregarded option.
Multiple
Accounts
PromaSoft Autoresponder
is able to handle an unlimited amount of your
POP accounts. Each of these POP accounts can have
as many aliases as you want.
Totally
Automatic an unattented
PS Autoresponder
will perform ALL operations totally automatic.
These operations include: auto responding, sending
out mailings and sending out newsletters. You
could leave PS Autoresponder to run for days.
24 by 24 and 7 by 7.
PS
Autoresponder can run totally unattended and independent
from you normal email application. If you
make use of the forwarding functions you can for
instance pass left over mail to another email
account read by a human. This way you don't need
to worry about filtered out email.
News
Letters
This will allow
you to send newsletters at predefined times to
predefined email lists and/or contact databases.
This also includes
methods for people to subscribe to your newsletters
via normal email or via your website.
POP
Server Friendly
The program is friendly
to your POP server meaning that it has the option
to delete messages when they have been replied
to. You never need to worry about a full
inbox anymore.
Substitution
Several keywords
are defined to include parts of the original message
in your reply, such as subject, name, firstname,
lastname, body etc. Next to the reserved keywords
you also can create your own.
Act
as mail server
PSAR can act as
a mail server whereby it will directly send outgoing
mail to the SMTP server of the recipients.
Web
Interface
Although still
in development PSAR now already contains a web
interface allowing you to control PSAR remotely.
