- NEW: Stop
button
A Stop button has been added on the main menu
to allow you to quickly stop GPSAssist and if
wanted also TomTom Navigator.
- NEW: Stop
TTN together with GPSAssist
An option has been added to force TomTom Navigator
to stop when you close GPSAssist.
- NEW: TimeZone
setting for Night Colors
PGPSAssist now offers the ability to change
your current timezone.
- NEW: Immediate
detection of newly recorded POIs
Newly recorded POIs will now be detected immediately
by GPSAssist.
- NEW: Dynamic
detection parameters
When driving at very low (below 20 km/h) and
high (above 100 km/h) it is normal that due
to the fact that GPS Coordinates are only refreshed
at 0.5 second intervals, sometimes POIs are
missed. This happens when you set the detection
distance a 1 second. To cope with this, GPSAssist
now dynamically adapts the detection paramaters
so that POIs are detected at low or high and
short warning distances (seconds).
- NEW: Active
option on POI Manager
A new checkbox has been added on the POI Manager
to allow you to make the selected list active
for the POI Detector without leaving the POI
Manager.
- NEW: New
Hardware button option
A new button mapping function has been added
to quickly show the GPSAssist main menu.
- NEW: Persistant
volume settings
GPSAssist will now remember your volume setting
when you start GPSAssist and will set it back
to what it was when you stop GPSAssist.
- Three step OV2 Activation. Simply
copy the OV2 file that you want to use to the
TTN Map directory. GPSAssist will automatically
detect new OV2 files and make them available
for activation.
- 1 Copy the OV2 File to your TTN Map
directory.
- 2 Open the POI Manager.
- 3 Click the Activate button.
- Full native OV2 support. POI Editor
now makes it possible to edit POI files directly
on your PPC. There's no need anymore to use
external PC applications.
- GPSAssist now scans your whole
PPC looking for sound files to be used for the
POI Detector.
- POI Recorder now faster than
ever.
- Select POI Icon for use with OV2 files.
- Import/Export of both OV2 and ASC files.
You can import and export to and from any location
on your PPC including storage cards.
- GPSAssist now includes an integrated help
file (Help/Contents) which allows you to read
about using the GPSAssist functions when you're
out and about.
- Integrated OV2 support. Any
changes (import/record POI/change description
etc...) you make to your POI Lists in GPSAssist,
can now be synchronized totally automatic with
a corresponding OV2 file in the TTN Map directory.
This means that you no longer have to manually
create OV2 files.

- POI Detector to get an audiovisual
warning signal when a certain type of POI is
in reach. E.g. notification of gas stations,
ATMs, etc... You can ofcourse also get notification
when reaching your own recorder POIs. Per type
of POI you cand select different sounds, images,
alert distances (times) etc ...
- POI Manager to maintain your own POI
lists to be used in conjunction with the POI
Detector and POI Recorder.
- Seamless integration of Microsoft Pocket Outlook
contacts.

you to plan routes with intermediate stops.
- Easy access to all function for safest driving
conditions

on sunrise and sunset times

Installation
Unzip the downloaded file into a directory on
your PC and click setup.exe. When asked to overwrite
files on your Pocket PC please answer 'yes'
to insure good operation. If overwriting does
not succeed you must answer 'no'. This
inconvenience is caused because of a MicroSoft
bug in the first release of WIndows CE. Most Pocket
PCs still have that release running.
